Clare Cooley Home Decor of her CA home 7 levels

In our last home, I made architectural design suggestions and did the entire inside with my own hands.

I was deeply honored when The Museum Of Modern Art in SF brought a tour to see my work. The copper stair railing I designed to look like it grew there. I made the brass fireplace screen with wire coat hangers to look like flames.

I designed the copper screen flowers in the ceramic chandelier, the crane dishes, the hanging cabinet they were displayed in, the entertainment cabinet, and the wood bench. I painted the walls with tint in wood glue with a roller quickly and lightly rolled over it with latex paint. The effect looked hand sponged.

It turned out to be an asset that funds for assistance ran out before it was time to do the interior because I experienced how much I could do myself!

Imagination is wealth, and loving our work is the greatest asset.
